Nethra Raghuram was first discovered by cinematographer turned director Govind Nihalani. He saw her photograph in a local newspaper and decided that he wanted her to be a part of Thakshak… and the search began. This was followed by a phone call to Nethra who was overwhelmed. Difficult to believe she found hereself in her 1st venture, Thakshak. Subsequently renowned ad film-maker, Mahesh Mathai(ad film-maker of Garden Vareli) decided to make his first film called Bhopal Express. Nethra was selected for Bhopal Express. Here she plays the wife of K. K. Menon as opposed to her glamorous role of a pop singer in Thakshak. Today Nethra has found two of her films releasing soon. Will her career take off to a brilliant start is to be seen.
