Namrata Shirodkar

Another Miss India who joined the bandwagon of models-turned-actresses was Namrata Shirodkar. But the reality wasn’t exactly a ramp walk for her, as all her films right from 'Mere Do Anmol Ratan' with Mukul Dev & Arshad Warsi to 'Hero Hindustani' again with Arshad Warsi, fared miserably at the box-office. But then came her much awaited break with Mahesh Manjrekar’s Vaastav, and her career took off in the right direction.

She was also seen in movies like Pukar with Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, 'Albela' with Aishwarya Rai and Jackie Shroff, the highlight of her career with Dil Vil Pyar Vyar with Madhavan, Sanjay Suri and Jimmy Shergill.

Tehzeeb with Urmila Matondkar, Arjun Rampal and Diya Mirza, LOC Kargil, Charas and Gurinder Chadha’s much hyped about Bride and Prejudice, with the likes of Martin Henderson and Aishwarya Rai were her other memorable performances.
