Celina was a soldier at war

Actress Celina Jaitly has been suffering from an unexplainable recurring stomach pain since childhood.

The pain she experiences lasts for days together until she can move again without any restraint. Despite consulting various doctors and undergoing medical tests, the root cause of the problem could not be detected.

Losing all hope to ever find relief from the pain, she heard about Imagine’s Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka and decided to find answers to her problem on the show. When taken back to her past life by Dr Trupti Jayin, Celina regressed to three life times. What shocked her was that in one of her past lives she was a man! She saw herself as a soldier at a war and it was in this war where she died succumbing to an injury on the left side of her stomach.

What amazed her is that the side where she was injured in her past life, is where she feels the pain even today. Another shocking discovery was that she also saw her brother and mother as friends and family in her past life. Says Celina, “This show has been a life-turning experience for me.”

screen.

The Badshah, who is known to be a very hands on parent, held daughter Suhana’s hand while he waited for wife Gauri and her friend Sussanne Khan to finish powdering their noses. Those who saw young Suhana couldn’t help, but notice how the little one was aping mom Gauri in her dressing style.

However it was dad SRK with whom she shared a terrific rapport. The papa’s laadli left dad only to make a quick trip to the restroom. However the moment she was done, she rushed straight back into his arms. And, of course SRK was delighted. After all, the doting dad loves
his kids and spends every minute that he can with them.

Aamir gatecrashes wedding for 3 Idiots

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan sprung a surprise at an unknown village near Faridkot in Punjab when he made his presence felt dressed as a foreigner on Saturday. Disguised as a foreigner, he attended a pre-wedding ceremony and also took part in the Haldi ceremony. he further joined the chorus of ladies in singing the traditional wedding Sangeet and danced with the members of the family.


However, no sooner than Aamir Khan revealed his true identity, almost all present on the occasion became hysterical out of sheer excitement. Later, he joined the other guests and partook his share in the dinner prior to bidding adieu to the surprised hosts. The formal wedding is scheduled to take place on Sunday. Kamaldeep, one of the villagers present at the Haldi ceremony said that she could not believe her eyes when she saw Aamir between them.


“When he (Aamir Khan) removed his teeth and removed the make-up, we were shocked. It was impossible to believe that he was visiting our village,” Kamaldeep said. Of late, Aamir Khan has been making waves by promoting his forthcoming film ‘3 Idiots’ in innovative ways. This film, which is slated to hit the screen, nationwide on December 25, also stars Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi.

Shahrukh turns down Farah's offer

One of the best known friendships of Bollywood seems to be dying a slow death. Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan
are falling apart. A few days back Farah had ousted Shahrukh from her movie Tees Maar Khan and replaced him with Akshay Kumar. The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that King Khan has now hit her back and refused to work with her.


Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder had announced three films with Farah – Tees Mar Khan, Alien Sahib and Joker. The script of Joker was written keeping Shahrukh in mind. Shahrukh has now refused to do the film and Shirish had offered it to John Abraham who loved the role and has given his consent. Interestingly, Shahrukh's Red Chillies Entertainment was to produce the movie.


Farah and Shahrukh had fallen apart because of Farah's hubby Shirish. Shahrukh had dumped her husband Shirish from his home production Zoya Factor over creative difference. Farah hit back dropping him from Tees Maar Khan. Shahrukh refusing Joker is the latest episode in fight. It will be interesting to see the chemistry between Shahrukh and Farah in their next movie Happy New Year.

Aamir puts hotel into trouble

Bollywood star Aamir Khan's incognito stay in a Varanasi hotel has put its owner in trouble, with the police charging the hotel with violating the identity verification rules for guests.

Additional Director General of Police Brij Lal said Wednesday that Aamir Khan checked into Hotel Saraswati in Mughal Serai area of Varanasi Dec 10 evening along with nine other people. They checked out Dec 13.

The popular star had gone to the Hindu holy city looking for his roots -- his mother hailed from Varanasi. Aamir did manage to trace his family connections and visited his distant kin living there. In an obvious bid to save himself from being mobbed, he chose to let the rooms be booked in the name of someone else. However his Mumbai address and phone number in the hotel records were correct.

But the usually lax Uttar Pradesh Police suddenly turn into a stickler for rules. Brij Lal said: "We do not deny that a popular actor does require some secrecy but entering a hotel under a false name is not done."

Seven rooms had been booked in the name of "Akram Shah and party". Brij Lal said: "The hotel has not cared to follow government directives on verification of the identity of every hotel guest. Therefore, the owner is liable to give an explanation or else he would lose his licence."

The government has, however, spared Aamir. "Aamir is not to blame. It was the duty of the hotel management to have the correct name of the guests in their records."

Ash caught Ranbir sketching

The lives of the Bachchans and the Kapoors seem to be intertwined on many levels. First, it was Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta who married Nikhil Nanda, a Kapoor prodigy (Raj Kapoor is his maternal grandfather).

Then there was Abhishek’s romance with Karisma Kapoor, which ended soon after they got engaged. And now Ranbir Kapoor seems to be completely floored by the Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya Rai.

At the premiere of Paa about two weeks ago, the Bachchans and the Kapoors were seen mingling like never before. Ranbir walked up to Ash and gave her a warm hug, while Abhishek played the cordial host. After ten minutes of the Aishwarya-Ranbir interaction, Abhishek was seen running to his beloved wife, with a tinge of insecurity masked by his courteous smile.

Before Abhishek could enquire about what was brewing between the two, Aishwarya took Abhishek into a flashback, to the sets of Rishi Kapoor’s Aa Ab Laut Chalen. This was in 1999, when Ranbir and Aishwarya met for the very first time. Apparently, while Rishi and Aishwarya were engrossed in a serious discussion over a shot, Ranbir, who was then assisting his father, was seated next to them unnoticed, busy making a sketch. But even before Ranbir could finish his sketch, his dad pulled across the notepad and caught Ranbir secretly sketching Aishwarya.

As Aishwarya narrated this funny incident to Abhishek, he seemed quite amused while Ranbir couldn’t stop blushing.

Deepika’s lonesome for New Year

Deepika Padukone doesn’t have any mega New Year celebrations plans this time around. She wants to spend some quiet and peaceful time. Not the ‘lonesome tonight’ kinda moment.

Katrina Kaif operated for appendix!

She may be at the peak of her career but Katrina Kaif has hit the rough patch as far as her health is concerned. She has been not keeping well for quite a long time now. The latest we hear is that she has been admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital after she complained of severe stomach ache.


Another news is doing the rounds that she has been operated for appendix. Work seems to have taken a toll on her health. She was earlier hospitalised for jaundice and low haemoglobin count.


Well, Katrina has a good outing this year with films like De Dana Dan, New York and Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani doing pretty well at the box office. But she should remember the idiom 'Health is wealth'.

Diya Mirza gets marriage proposal from stalker

Former Miss Asia Pacific turned Bollywood actress Diya Mirza had a peculiar encounter recently when her stalker proposed marriage to her. The man, believed to be in his early 30s, has been stalking the actress for six long years.


The guy, who is said to be a well-educated man and a doctor by profession, went beyond the limits by coming to Diya's house a day after her birthday. He asked her to marry him. He had an engagement ring and a card with him.


The shocked actress called out for her domestic help and driver for help, and later lodged a police complaint against the stalker at the Khar Police station. The cops are currently on a lookout for the trouble-maker.

Ranbir Kapoor smooches Priyanka Chopra

Yes, Ranbir Kapoor has locked his lips with Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani. The kissing scene for the Siddharth Anand directed movie was recently shot during the its Bangkok schedule. Although Ranbir and Priyanka are pairing for the first time their on-screen chemistry is amazing. A source on the sets reveals that the two star interacted and partied together before the scene was shot. Both of them also did lot of readings for their romantic scenes.


Siddharth Anand making Ranbir kiss in the movie was quite obvious after the director made him kiss three ladies in their last movie together. Ranbir had locked lips with Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Even though Ranbir and Priyanka have shot one kissing scene another one might be on the cards. The Anjaana Anjaani team will next head to New York for a shoot at the Times Square where a cosy shot is most likely.

Katrina-Ranbir now officially together?

After his high profile breakup with Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor has been linked to Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star Katrina Kaif. But now it seems the romantic fling between the two is more than just a rumour. The two who bonded well during APKGK are having an awesome time shooting for Prakash Jha's political flick Rajneeti.

Ranbir Kapoor recently gifted Katrina a pendant after the success of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Katrina has tried keeping it under wraps having told only a few close friends about it. she plays the role of a village beauty.

Side by side, she has been rehearsing for her upcoming show for New Year. She says, “I’m working on a special act this New Year, as its my first performance in the capital, and I’m super excited about it. Usually, I would start rehearsing a week before the show, but this time, I’m almost through with my rehearsals before mid December. I have a continuous shooting schedule through December for a beautiful and interesting film that I recently signed. For my New Year’s show, I’m doing a mix of many different dance styles like Bollywood, Samba, Rumba, Broadway and Hiphop in my two high-energy 10 minute medleys on stage, but my favourite was the Rumba. I completely love stage performances and the high-energy level on stage — that gets my adrenaline flowing!” Aarti promises that this show is to watch out for as “this time I’m sure to make all the Dilliwallas go gaga!” In between the rehearsals, Aarti has been busy shooting in the day. “It leaves me with little or no time for myself, but to tell you honestly, you have no idea how much I’m enjoying it. I’m high on life when I’m working, I have no complaints!”

Sleepless night for Vivek!

Vivek Oberoi spent a sleepless night before going for the first day shoot of Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra.


Recalls the actor who’s working with his mentor after a gap of almost seven years, “I was trying to relax myself the night before, watched a movie, listened to some music.” But when he walked in to the sets the next morning, it felt ‘strangely familiar’ for the actor. “It was like I was back on the sets of Company, “ he smiles, “I was really emotional the first day. It was like an end of saat saal ka vanvaas.” And how did the scene go? “It was one of the most difficult scenes of my career. But the minute I did it, Ramu said, ‘I lived with the character for two years and you walk in and do one scene, like you’ve known the character for years’. That felt great!”

Why did Ramu visit Taj?

Ram Gopal Varma’s run of horror films has been largely unsuccessful, but nothing can compare to the horror of his visit to the destroyed Taj hotel in Mumbai four days after 26/11 .

If you say Ramu’s Taj visit, people still know what you’re talking about. Clearly, the buzz refuses to die and has perhaps earned Ramu the rare distinction of being the only Bollywood personality to add a phrase to colloquial vocabulary – terror tourism.

Terror tourism: n. a visit to sites of terrorist attacks, inspired by Bollywood director’s visit to 26/11 attack site. RGV went to the hotel soon after the terrorist siege ended, along with then Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh and his actor son Ritiesh Deshmukh, who’s now playing the lead in RGV’s Rann. Having directed several hard-hitting, gritty films on realistic topics like the underworld, speculation was rife that RGV visited the Taj using his proximity to the CM’s son to research for a film on the 26/11 attacks. In a city already reeling under the audacity and scale of the attacks, Ramu’s visit added fuel to the fire.

B-town and the man on the street, both thought that RGV, Ritiesh and the CM had set a new standard of crassness and insensitivity. A report quoted Akshay Wadke, a participant in one of the many candlelight vigils organised at the time, saying, “This is really not the time for VIP tours in the hotel. It’s plain insensitive on part of the chief minister.” Actor Aashish Chaudhary, who lost his sister and brother-in-law in the attacks, said, “What was he thinking? It is not a tourist site or an exhibition.” Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who started his career with RGV, was also unforgiving, “No one knows his intention behind taking a tour of the Taj. But knowing RGV, one can suspect that he might be interested in making a film on it. If that is so, it’s extremely insensitive of him,” he was quoted by reports as saying.

The CM’s feeble disclaimers were lost in the angry buzzing, and RGV’s heated and caustic defence couldn’t salvage his image either. Ritiesh was sorely missed at many public events for a while after that, and many sniggered at how the actor seemed to have done a disappearing act. Deshmukh Sr, who finally had to resign from CMship, said the whole incident had been blown out of proportion.

“I was on an official visit to find out for myself the damage caused to the hotel. It was a sheer coincidence that producer Ram Gopal Varma was also present at the Taj.” His story was that RGV was discussing Rann with Ritiesh when the opportunity to visit the hotel turned up, and that the filmmaker's inclusion wasn’t planned.

RGV clarified angrily on the evening after the visit, “I have no intentions of making any film on the subject. I had come across some reports that the chief minister had invited me to visit the Taj this morning. Let me please clarify that no such thing happened. It is just that I happened to be with Ritiesh at that time. I really know him well. I did not see anything at the Taj that the TV coverage of the last three days has not already shown me.” Of course, many, including director Imtiaz Ali, thought that the issue was being blown out of proportion and they did not understand why it was such a big deal. He said, “I am not aware of his motives. One should let
RGV be. The biggest concern is everyone’s security – that is much more significant than any Ramu paying a visit to the Taj,” he had said. But buzz hai ki manta nahin!

Shahid Kapoor's heated arguments with Ken Gosh

Ken Ghosh admits he had loud arguments with Shahid Kapoor
on the sets during the shooting of Chance Pe Dance. But it had to do with Shahid’s suddenly saturated schedules.


Says Ken, “For the first time in his career Shahid was doing three films at the same time- Kaminey, Dil Bole Hadippa and my film Chance Pe Dance. Naturally there was a conflict of interest.”


Ken admits there were loud arguments over Shahid’s schedules. “I’d ask for three days. He would have only one day to spare. I’d naturally be upset. Then understandably, Shahid wanted time off. He couldn’t be seen on my set straight after shooting for one of the other two films. This naturally led to heated arguments. For me, as a director it was okay to come on the sets without sleep. But Shahid had to catch up on his resting time. Or the dark circles would have shown on camera. And since Shahid is fair-complexioned those dark circles would be even more visible.”

The last thing that Ken wanted was for his hero to fall ill. “Priyanka Chopra had to be hospitalized because of overwork and exhaustion. I didn’t want Shahid to go through the same experience.”

The effort has been worth it for both Shahid and Ken. “Shahid’s dancing in Chance Pe Dance is the film’s mainstay. But his performance is not just about dancing. Some of the things he has done with in the dramatic scenes took me by surprise. Shahid has brought subtle expressions into scenes, which I didn’t catch while shooting. Only during editing I realized what he had done.”

Ken Ghosh, who introduced Shahid Kapoor in Ishq Vishk five years ago, admits the actor has changed. “Isn’t change inevitable? We all evolve with time. Shahid is no exception.”

So are the stories of a rift between the two true?

Ken doesn’t deny the fact that there were heated arguments and fights during the making of Chance Pe Dance. “But they were all for the betterment of the film. See when Shahid did his first film Ishq Vishk with me he only had that film on hand and was able to give me his full attention.”

Salman puts a 'bikini ban' on Katrina

Salman Khan is known to be a possessive boyfriend but his over possessiveness seems to be affecting Katrina Kaif's career. Even as the De Dana Dan actress wasn't feeling well Salman was keen that she attend the wedding of the politician Praful Patel's relative and dance there. Katrina who gave into Salman's wishes further fell sick and had to be rushed to hospital on Monday and has been advised complete bed rest.


Salman has also imposed a bikini ban on Katrina who was supposed to do a sizzling bikini scene with Hrithik Roshan in Rakesh Roshan’s film Krrish 2. Rakesh had no other option but to look for a replacement once Katrina said no to the bikini shot and roped in Deepika Padukone. Katrina and Salman have always shared an on and off relationship and there were recent rumours that Katrina has called quits from the relationship

Ranbir not dying for a movie with Imran

Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are known to be great buddies in real life but it may not be any soon that the audience will get to see the duo share screen space. Ranbir has said that he was not dying to do a movie with Imran. Ranbir who was promoting his movie Rocket Singh said this on being quizzed about his views on pairing with Imran.


Ranbir said "I share a great friendship with Imran Khan and we stick together whenever we can, but as far as the matter of working together is concerned, I'm not dying to do a film with Imran Khan. Our friendship has its own value for me and professionally we have no such plans to feature together in a film at this moment."


The answer which was quite straight forward raised many eyebrows. The two heartthrobs are known to hang out together quite often and have hosted the Filmfare Awards
2009. It remains to be seen how Imran reacts to Ranbir's statement.

Deepika's RK tattoo troubles her again

Scars of a failed relationship
take time to heal and Deepika Padukone is knowing in the hard way. It might have been weeks since she broke up with Ranbir Kapoor but the ghost of the relationship seems to still haunt her. The latest bone of contention seems to have become the RK tattoo on her neck. What was to be a symbol of eternal love has become the biggest problem in the actress' life.


If it was the media which was questioning her about what she plans to do with the tattoo, this week it is director Ashutosh Gowariker who has problem with Deepika's body art. While shooting for the movie Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se in Goa made her change her hairstyle so that her tattoo wouldn't be seen on the frame.


Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se revolves around the Chittagong Uprising in the pre Independence days. Deepika plays a freedom fighter in the movie so sports a completely different role. Deepika seemed frustrated when Gowariker made her change her hairstyle despite giving a perfect shot. It remains to be seen what Deepika does with her tattoo in the coming days.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani brought down

Well it’s nothing new for a production house
to set up lavish sets at an exorbitant cost, as when the film releases they can easily cash back on the costs with the box-office moolah. Which is why, it did not pinch the producers of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani to build up a whole city for the film in Ooty, Tamil Nadu and later break it down to pieces. But what comes as a surprise is the cost involved in bringing down the sets.


According to reliable sources, the production house shelled out a cool sum of Rs. 20,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Lakhs) to bring the sets down. Our little birdie tells us, “The beautiful set of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani turned into dust at the cost of some 20 lakhs.”


Well that’s not too bad considering the film is still raking in big money
from selling satellite rights to television channels apart from cashing in major moolah at the box-office!

King Khan vs Prince of Kolkata

A clipping from Josh flashed on the monitor during the audio-visual round in the grand finalé of Dadagiri Unlimited when suddenly, the crowd started cheering as if marking the grand entry of the “special guest” for the evening.

But, ‘bade bade deshon mein aise chhoti chhoti galtiyan hoti rehti hai’. Shah Rukh ‘Don’ Khan was yet to touch base at Mohun Bagan Athletic Club. Akhir, Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hai.

And then around 9.30 pm, there he was. Sporting a grey blazer, black tee and his red-framed glasses, the Badshah’s presence on the grounds needed no confirmation. A laser display and fireworks later, Kolkata was finally ready for some firebrand entertainment from King Khan. “Thank you very much, thanks a lot,” said Khan to the Kolkata crowd as pleasantries were exchanged between Dada and Badshah.

With the best of the Maharajas on stage, the audience was only too ready to forget the long hours of waiting for an SRK. And when the King apologises by saying that the Kolkata fog had delayed his flight, what else can the loyal subjects do, but oblige?

In fact, according to sources at the airport, SRK’s flight was scheduled for take off around 1.30 pm on Sunday. “It finally took off around 5.29 pm,” said the source, adding, “SRK was supposed to be in Kolkata around 3.40 pm but his flight landed around 7.54 pm. He boarded a full economy class flight.” Once at the venue, SRK spent a minimum of five minutes to fix his look. Confirms Saddique Alam, the man responsible for giving Dada and Khan that special look for the day, “Dada had spikes and a smooth style on the sides. He is a perfectionist and it is difficult to satisfy him. But he was pleased with his look today. In spite of being down with cough and cold, Dada is giving his best on stage. As for Shah Rukh, he took just five minutes to flaunt a natural and no gel look. He too was happy with the result.”

And so were the crowd as they savoured the best of the googlies between the Titans. While Sourav’s one, “Jitna dekhta hai, admi hansta hai aur jab nahi dekhta hai, toh aansu peetein hai” had SRK requesting, “Make it easier or I’ll look dumb”, Badshah’s teaser soon after, “There is a truck. You go out, I come in. What does the truck become?” had Dada racking his brains for an answer.

Thus the duo, wowed, joked and sang each others’ praises till SRK gave the parting shot, “Inshallah, if Knight Riders wins this time, I’ll come and dance for all of you.” Om Shanti Om!

Oh God, it's Rakhi!

If Rakhi Sawant has been heard muttering ‘O Jejuz’ on her TV shows lately, it’s not because she has picked up the expression during a
trip abroad or finds it fashionable to do so.

The reality TV star has been claiming on her shows that she has ‘found’ Jesus. She has even been attending services at an Andheri church in Mumbai, where her mother is a regular visitor (TV viewers may remember her mother’s appearance on a reality TV show where she often hugged a photograph of Christ and wept uncontrollably). Noticing her new-found interest in their religion, organisers of Mumbai’s biggest Christmas gathering have invited her to read from the Bible.

Rakhi was not available for comment. But her caller tune – a song that proclaims Jesus as a ‘living God’ – is evidence of her new-found spiritual interest. “We came to know that she has been attending church services. She has also declared on various TV shows that she loves Jesus. So we invited her to read a few scriptures from the Bible,” said Dr Abraham Mathai, vice-chairman of the State Minorities Commission.

However, community members were guarded in their reaction. “I would not want to judge her. But I do not know whether her presence is a publicity stunt for her or the organisers. When you have Christ in Christmas, you already have your celebrity in place,” said Judith Monteiro, a Dadar resident.

But it had to do with Shahid’s suddenly-saturated schedules. Says Ken, “For the first time in his career Shahid was doing three films at the same time—Kaminey, Dil Bole Hadippa and my film Chance Pe Dance. Naturally there was a conflict of interest.”

Ken admits there were loud arguments over Shahid’s schedules. “I’d ask for three days. He would have only one day to spare. I’d naturally be upset. Then understandably, Shahid wanted time off. He couldn’t be seen on my set straight after shooting for one of the other two films. This naturally led to heated arguments. For me as a director it was okay to come on the sets without sleep. But Shahid had to catch up on his resting time. Or the dark circles would have shown on camera. And since Shahid is fair-complexioned those dark circles would be even more visible.”
The last thing that Ken wanted was for his hero to fall ill. “Priyanka Chopra had to be hospitalized because of overwork and exhaustion. I didn’t want Shahid to go through the same experience.”

The effort has been worth it for both Shahid and Ken. “Shahid’s dancing in Chance Pe Dance is the film’s mainstay. But his performance is not just about dancing. Some of the things he has done in the dramatic scenes took me by surprise. Shahid has brought subtle expressions into scenes which I didn’t catch while shooting. Only during editing I realized what he had done.”

Ken Ghosh, who introduced Shahid Kapoor in Ishq Vishq five years ago, admits the actor has changed. “Isn’t change inevitable? We all evolve with time. Shahid is no exception.” So are the stories of a rift between the two true?

Ken doesn’t deny the fact that there were heated arguments and fights during the making of Chance Pe Dance. “But they were all for the betterment of the film. See when Shahid did his first film Ishq Vishq with me he only had that film on hand and was able to give me his full attention.”

Katrina unwell again

Everyone around Katrina, well-wishers, co-stars, friends and family are beginning to be extremely worried about Katrina’s deteriorating health. On Sunday she was again at a suburban hospital to take further tests as her haemoglobin count continued to fall, despite treatment from the best doctors in the city.

Though Katrina has been extremely selective recently about the appearances she makes, she is obviously still straining too much and it is affecting her adversely.

On Sunday Katrina woke up unable to get out of bed. The worst blow to her frail energy level was the hectic wedding of Salman Khan’s close family-friend Krishan Narayan’s daughter which Katrina attended for two consecutive nights on Friday and Saturday for the sangeet and wedding.

Forgetting her delicate health, Katrina had simply let herself go, dancing and having a good time.

A friend explained, “It was a commitment she couldn’t wriggle out of. The bride’s father, an associate of politician Praful Patel, is a very close friend of Salman Khan. And Katrina who has always looked at Salman’s friends as her own, had to be there.”

The result of two consecutive nights of merry-making was a relapse. On Sunday Katrina had to undergo a series of complicated medical tests that went on the whole day

The friend continued, “Katrina’s haemoglobin count continues to plummet. The doctors are perplexed by this. They can’t figure out what is causing this abnormality in her blood. She has been prescribed complete bed rest.”

When contacted, Katrina tried to dismiss her indisposition with. “I will be just fine. I just need to rest.”

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been voted as the Sexiest Asian Woman. UK's prestigious Eastern Eye Magazine which comes with the list of world's 50 Sexiest Asian women has put Katrina in the numero uno spot for second time in a row. The De Dana Dan actress had a tough competition and beat other Bollywood actress, former beauty queens, models and pop stars to regain the crown she won in 2008 for the first time.

Indian fans would be pleased with the list as it includes eight Bollywood babes in the Top 10 list. British television star Laila Rouass and Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat are the only two non-Indians in the list. Shahid reuniting with Kareena on Valentine's Day

The once hot Bollywood couple Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor may never reunite in real life but the story is different when it comes to reel life. In spite of the ugly break-up a couple of years ago, they are reuniting on Valentine's Day. Of course only in reel life.


Yes, you may see Shahid and Kareena together again if all goes on well. The news is doing the rounds that the makers of the much-delayed film Milenge Milenge are planning to release it on February 14, 2010. People in the trade circle feel that releasing the film on Valentine's Day would work wonders, as it features the once hot couple Shahid and Kareena.


Producer Boney Kapoor confirmed that he is releasing the film in mid-February. He said that he is not involved in the release strategy of the film, as there is a team who look into all these matters. He added that it won't surprise him even if the release date coincides with Valentine's Day.

It may be recalled that Milenge Milenge, directed by Satish Kaushik, has been in the making since 2004. It failed to see the light of day in spite of several attempts to release it in the subsequent years due to financial and casting problem.

Well, it will be a treat to see the Jab We Met pair together again on the big screens though they have moved on after the break-up.

Aamir Khan meets with a road accident

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan who was travelling in disguise to promote his upcoming movie 3 Idiots met with a road mishap. The auto-rickshaw the Aamir was travelling in collided with another three-wheeler ahead of it. The accident occurred when Aamir's driver slammed the brakes hard after the auto ahead of it tilted while trying to avoid a pothole. Although Aamir escaped unhurt in the incident he was taken to a hospital and discharged soon.


Aamir's publicist confirmed the mishap and said that Aamir was lucky to be saved and he did not sustain any injuries. Aamir is travelling in disguise as marketing gimmick for his forthcoming film 3 Idiots. He has even launched a reality game to search him based on clues. He has roped in his good friend and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar to be a part of the campaign and has left the first clue to find him with Sachin.

Amir khan in disguise!

Like Amitabh Bachchan or Vijay Dinanath Chauhan said in Agneepath — Maa ko uska gaon lautana hai, Aamir Khan who is promoting his latest film landed up in Varanasi incognito to try and buy Khwaja Manzil, the building where his mother Zeenat spent her childhood.

Reports have it that the building now belongs to a Sikh gentleman and the Bollywood superstar would have to do some hardcore negotiating to try and buy back a property that he is so keen on.

Aamir disguised himself as a Banarasi Babu and visited Tiliya Nala, the locality his mother had spend her child hood in. He left his security behind, took a boat ride in the Ganges, and stayed at derelict hotels because he didn’t want media attention at least till such time as he actually left the city.

The actor who is very close to his mother, admitted, “I’m very much a momma’s boy” and said it was an emotional journey for him. He also visited Dasaswamedh Ghat where his mother went for boat rides when she stayed in Varanasi.

Abhi-Ash get 25-crore for ad!

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan to be seen together for the first timein an ad for a soap. Buzz is, they have beenpaid Rs 25 crore....

After their marriage, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have seldom been seen apart. Be it filmi events, the Cannes festival, films such as Sarkar Raj and forthcoming films Raavana and Crooked or even a recent episode of the Oprah Winfrey show, the doting couple is always seen hand-in-hand, smiling happily much to the delight of photographers.

Now, the couple is ready to take brand Bachchan to an altogether next level with a soap commercial. Buzz is that they are being paid a whopping Rs 25 crore for the ad. The deal, which has been kept under wraps, was finalised four days ago.

, a source said, “The endorsement market is booming right now. Also, it will be the first time that Abhishek and the Bachchan bahu will be seen together in a commercial. The couple had been in talks for a long time with the ad filmmakers, who were extremely keen to get the two together. They finally agreed to be part of the ad last week.”

The ad is likely to be shot abroad.

Katrina, Akshay to sizzle in sky

For those who cribbed about Akshay Kumar being without a leading lady in Blue, here’s news. The film’s sequel will feature Katrina Kaif
,who had an eight-minute role opposite Zayed Khan, this time round with Akshay.

The story brings together Akshay and Katrina , Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta, and Zayed Khan with a new leading lady - Neha Uberoi, who is Sanjay’s business manager, Dharam Uberoi’s daughter.

The film is likely to be titled Aasman (Akshay’s suggestion) and a role is being written for John Abraham who will have Sonal Chauhan cast opposite him. Director Tony D’Souza said, “I really want to work with John. All I can say is the producers are ready to back me with my next project with the same budget as Blue. It will start off as an undersea adventure and then move to the sky.” The producers are likely to host a huge bash soon where the sequel will be announced.

Even though she has completely shed her glam doll image to play a politician in Prakash Jha's Rajneeti, Katrina Kaif is reluctant to give up thejhatkas and matkas that are such an integral part of being a Bollywood actress.

So what if she plays a prim and propah neta in Rajneeti? It doesn't stop her from wanting to dance
to a club song in the film. While Katrina wants to let out her filmi side, filmmaker Prakash Jha doesn't want her to deviate from her role and is currently looking out for another actress to perform in the song.

A source said, “No matter how serious his films are Prakash Jha usually makes it a point to have one much-talked about song. For Rajneeti, he has a club mix hip-hop number composed by Pritam. Katrina, who is the film's lead actress, has expressed a keen interest in being part of the song.

However, Jha feels that he should get another established actress for the song and has already spoken to some likely candidates. Katrina clearly doesn't want to give up on her image as a commercial actress and wants to feature in the song as after the initial few scenes in Rajneeti, she goes completely deglam. Getting to dance to this masala number was perhaps her way of ensuring that her sexy image remains intact. But knowing Jha he will get some other actress for the item song.”

Prakash Jha confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we have a club song which Katrina is extremely keen to do. But, I have yet to decide on several aspects of the song. Ranbir (Kapoor, lead actor of Rajneeti) is definitely not part of the song and I will soon finalise who will feature in the number.”

Completely denying the news, Katrina Kaif said, “Rubbish. I don't know anything about this.”

Priyanka Chopra’s Miss World connection

A former miss world herself, Priyanka Chopra is again going back to her roots. Well this time she is judging the Miss World Contest 2009 pageant in Johannesburg on 12th December.

An excited Piggy Chop twitters, “I’m excited and getting ready to meet around 100 contestants of Miss World. Right now, I’m watching the rehearsal of the contestants and its almost nostalgic.”

Although, Priyanka Chopra is busy with her shootings, but she couldn’t resist taking part in the contest even if to judge it. Currently, her hands are full with shootings for films.

After judging the Miss World contest, Piggy Chops will go out for the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Pyaar Impossible’ which stars her with Uday Chopra. Apparently, this film also marks the comeback of Uday Chopra, who has incidentally also penned the script for the same. ‘Pyaar Impossible’ is slated to release on 8th January 2009.

Ranbir Kapoor in awe of Shahrukh Khan

The newest stud in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, is merely four films old, but he is already being compared to the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.

Well this comparison comes easy, as Ranbir does romantic scene with as much ease as the suave Shahrukh Khan, who is a veteran in enacting romantic scenes.

When we asked Ranbir about this, he said, “I think comparing me with Shahrukh Khan would be like insulting him. Till now, I have done only 3 films, which are by no ways a parameter to compare me with him. In my last film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ I have played a romantic character, where in ‘Rocket Singh –Salesman of the year’ there is romance, but on a different level.”

Well however hard Ranbir might try to deny, the fact remains that people like him in romantic roles, as he sure is a charmer! No doubt Ranbir must be happy to be compared with Shahrukh, after all it is SRK who is the benchmark of success in Bollywood these days.

Shruti Haasan’s language skills

Shruti Haasan, the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan who was last seen in the slick flick ‘Luck’ opposite Imran Khan, has shown off her multi-tasking skills time and again.

The girl has been keeping busy with belting out hits for her dad’s film ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ in Chennai, doing a film in Hyderabad and sifting through scripts in Mumbai! And still looking pretty at the end of the day! Phew! Way to go girl!

Now the actress is adding one more feather to her cap and has proved her linguistic skills after she learnt Telugu in no time. Shruti, who is shooting for National Award winning director Prakash Rao’s Telugu film in Hyderabad opposite Siddharth, picked up the language in within a short period of spending time with the locals.

She can already speak good Tamil, English, Hindi, a little German and now Telugu, making it a total of five languages.

Kareena Kapoor fights with Priyanka Chopra

Carrying on the tradition of unfriendly Bollywood actresses, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor are battling it out. First, Priyanka zoomed into Kareena’s territory by befriending Shahid Kapoor just a little while after Kareena broke up with him. And now, they’re fighting over Bollywood’s most sought after make-up artist, Pompy.


Both actresses have worked with Pompy on various commercials and films and want him to be the one styling them. When both of them sign a film, they check if Pompy’s dates match theirs. When Priyanka got ready to shoot for Anjaana Anjaani with Ranbir Kapoor, she checked if Pompy was available. But he was already scheduled to accompany Kareena to Sydney for the shooting of the remake of Stepmom, starring Kajol and Arjun Rampal with Kareena.


Kareena considers Pompy as family, inviting him to her film previews. Those who attended the Kurbaan preview confirmed Pompy’s presence there.

Is Aishwarya Bachchan pregnant?

Celebrity couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan must be tired of hearing their 'baby' news because it hits the headline every time Ash's weight increases. Once again, the news is doing the rounds that the former Miss World is pregnant.


It was rumoured that Ash has been trying to wrap up Vipul Shah’s Action Replay, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, Mani’s Raavan and Rajinikant’s The Robot as early as possible in order to start a family. It was even rumoured that she walked out of Abhinay Deo’s Crooked because of the plan. But she said that there is no truth to the pregnancy rumours. She however hinted that their recent ad where they said “We have a good news”, must have triggered the talks.


In the meantime, Ash is looking forward to motherhood. She added that she has no gender (boy/girl) preference and would welcome whatever God has in store for them. She also went om to say that her husband Abhishek would make a very good father, as he is great with kids.

At the moment, she is concentrating on marketing Paa and helping her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan for the premiere of Paa to be held today. The film features Amitabh, Abhishek and Vidya Balan in the lead roles. It is produced under the Bachchans home banner AB Corps Ltd. and directed by Balki.

Story of her break up with Ranbir Kapoor is a thing of the past. Now Deepika Padukone seems to have found her new man and it is none other than Kartik Calling Kartik co-star Farhan Akhtar. Sources say that the two have got really close during the making of the film. Ever since Deepika called off her relationship with Ranbir she has been bonding well with Farhan. The director turned actor has become a special person in Deepika's life.


It may be recalled that a few weeks back Deepika had slammed Katrina Kaif for spreading rumours about her closeness with Farhan. The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Katrina refused to act opposite Hrithik in the sequel of the hit film Krrish. The reason she gave was that its shooting schedules clashed with that of Karan Johar’s Dostana sequel.


Sources said that Rakesh Roshan decided to go for Deepika Padukone after Katrina turned down his offer. Well, Katrina's loss is Deepika's gain!

Ranbir Kapoor's beard for Rocket Singh confuses a girl

Ranbir Kapoor had a strange experience recently when he was out dining with his good friend, Imran Khan. He hadn’t shaved off the beard he had grown for Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh –Salesman of the Year. And that beard rendered him unrecognizable…at least for a 16-year-old girl who was at the restaurant.


Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan were eating at the restaurant when the teenaged girl came in with a friend. A little while later, she noticed Imran. She got up, leaving her food, and rushed to Ranbir and Imran’s table. Before they knew it, the girl had whipped out her cell phone and asked Ranbir, whom she apparently did not recognize, to click pictures of hers with Imran. Ranbir obliged and she then went away after pictures of hers with Imran had been taken.


When she went back to the table, her friend told her that Imran was with Ranbir. The girl went back to the table where the young actors were seated. She apologized to Ranbir and then asked Imran to click pictures of hers with Ranbir.

Imran confirmed the incident and added that they couldn’t stop laughing about it later.

Ranbir Kapoor disagrees with Shazahn on kiss

We have reported not long ago that Ranbir Kapoor and Shazahn Padamsee have a lip-locking scene in their upcoming release Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year. It was not irresponsible reporting because it came from Shazahn’s own mouth. Now, Ranbir has denied the kissing scene.


Reacting to debutante Shazahn’s revelation that there is a kissing sequence in Rocket Singh, Ranbir said that it is not a mouth-to-mouth kiss but just a ‘cheat kiss’. He claimed that the scene was shot in such a way that it looked as though they were kissing. This is in complete contrast to Shazahn’s claim that her co-star made her very comfortable while shooting that particular shot.


Now, the big question is – did Ranbir really kissed Shazahn in the film? you will come to know the truth when this film directed by Shimit Amin release this Friday, 11th December.

Ranbir-Deepika’s split a blessing for Rocket Singh

They say no publicity is bad publicity. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone must be having hard time with the jounos keep asking them about their alleged break-up, but it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Ranbir’s latest offering Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year, where he acts with newcomer Shazahn Padamsee.


The makers of Rocket Singh didn’t promote the film aggressively and director Shimit Amin defended that it was to arouse curiosity amongst the public. But the truth is, a good opening requires good publicity however big a film is. Luckily, the break-up rumours of its lead actor with his girlfriend Deepika came handy.


Don’t know how true the splitting story is but it has surely pushed Ranbir into the minds of the people. Who knows if he deliberately refused to clarify the rumours, knowing that it would bring good fortune to his film.

After her much publicised break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika hasn't spoken about their relationship publicly. Recently, the actress was present at the launch of Neutrogena Fine Fairness' at Grand Hyatt Mumbai when media persons seized the opportunity to assail with lot of questions connected to Ranbir Kapoor and her breakup.


Deepika was asked about her plans with the RK tattoo on her back but the actress chose to remain silent on issue. Another question that followed was, "Is the brand coming out with a cream that will erase your tattoo?" At this stage Deepika started fidgeting and fuming with anger but she still let her silence do the talking.


The actress however erupted when a journalist asked her "Are you happy after your break-up with Ranbir?". An fuming Deepika replied "Of course, I am happy. Don't I look happy?" with fellow actor Deepika Padukone. But he seems to have run short of patience after their break-up story hit the headlines hard.


Yes, the over-intrusive media seems to have disappointed Ranbir. As if spreading the news of the break-up story is not enough, rumourmongers went on to spread his bid to get ex-girlfriend Deepika back. He recently lost his temper after being repeated asked about his relationship.

Salman Khan’s six-pack makes Mithun hit the gym

Look who is taking a cue from Salman Khan…Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who will be seen in a pivotal role in Anil Sharma’s Veer has hit the gym to look ultra fit.


Veer will see Mithun Da play Salman Khan’s father. Since it is set in the era of 1880, the role also required Mithun Da to look the part for which he had to be physically very fit.


Reveals an inside source, “When Mithun Chakraborty was first approached for the film he refused, as it required him to work out rigorously for the tough look of his character. However he then agreed to do the film as there was 3 months time at hand and enough time to up his fitness.”

“People who exercise know how muscle memory works...when you start working out again after years it all comes back. We needed someone who could look young, middle aged and old in the film and he was the only one who could do it,” adds the source.

We hear that Mithun Da then started enjoying his workouts, so much so, that he even stopped eating his rich Bengali food for more effective results.

A little birdie informs, “Not only has Mithun Da restricted his Bengali food, which is very rich, but also invested Rupees 25 lakhs and set up a new gym at his Madh Island farm house.”

Well setting up a gym at home, that’s so Sallu style! We also heard that Mithun Da’s character required horse-riding skills so he got a horse and started practicing at his farmhouse.

Hmm… Looks like the erstwhile disco dancer likes to get into the character of his part to the core!
